Yin Yoga Training
Shanticentre, Italy 16-22 April 2024

This is a an advanced training for yoga teachers which will take place at the Shanticentre retreat in Italy. 

 

It will enable you to offer yin courses, classes, sequences and postures to your students, whilst giving you a deeper understanding into the science of stretching, fascia and joint range of motion.

Specific Goals of this Training
  • To understand intention of static stretching, joint anatomy and ranges of motion and fascia theory

  • To understand the nervous system effects of static stretching 

  • To be able to create yin sequences and to weave yin practices into your regular session using sound anatomical knowledge 

  • To be able to adapt yin style postures to suit individual needs, creating safe, accessible yin spaces for all

  • To have time and space to be able to process the aspects of this work experientially whilst in a retreat environment.

  • To create a compassion and friendliness practice alongside the yin training, using Buddhist metta bhavana meditation

Further Details:

  • All meals plus shared accommodation included. (excluding 1 night out at local restaurant)

  • There is a supplement for single rooms and and only 2 singles available.

  • All meals are vegetarian and vegan and can be wheat free.

  • We cannot cater for other dietary requirements. 

  • Flights cost extra but transfer to and from Pescara airport or to and from bus stop for Rome connections included in price.  

  • Early Bird Price until 9th Jan: £995. Full price £1095, Deposit of £300 to book your space.

  • Spaces limited to 10. Booking essential. 

  • Arrival Tuesday 16th April, departure Monday 22nd. Retreat and training will begin Wednesday morning and end Sunday evening.

Shanticentre is a dedicated Yoga Centre in the heart of Italy which has been hosting Yoga Retreats and Trainings for over 10 years

It boasts an outdoor yoga terrace, yoga room, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub

What you get & what it counts for
  • The Course is recognised as a 40 hour advanced training by  Yoga Alliance Professionals.

  • This training counts as 40 hours towards your 300/500 hour training with Shanticentre Training School.

  • You will receive a full manual, a certificate and access to prerecorded sequences on completion of the training.

  • The training is 35 hours in person at Shanticentre and 5+ hours home study with access lifetime to 6 prerecorded yin yoga classes and complete online metta bhavana course and Yoga nidra course.

3:00-5:00 How to teach Yin

 

5:30-7:00 Yin and yoga nidra
