About the Event
This is an online course where we will meet up on zoom and practice meditation together.
We will explore the following techniques, one each week
1: Metta Bhavana (Loving Kindness)
This is a Buddhist meditation used to cultivate compassion.
2: Mantra Meditation
This comes from Buddhist and Yoga traditions using a repeated phrase and sometimes a mala which is a set of 108 beads strung together to give your meditation focus and clarity.
3: Chakra meditation
This comes from the Tantra tradition or yoga of awareness of the subtle energies of the body and focuses on the 7 main energy channels in your body.
4: 3D breathing
Learn how to breathe for optimal health and wellbeing, and to use breath to focus and calm the mind and emotions.
5: Grounding Meditation
Learn how to meditate on the natural pull of gravity and to connect deeply into the earth, so that you can reconnect with your body and ground yourself when life feels a little bit too much up in the air
6: Heart Space meditation
This is a beautiful meditation which allows you to connect to your heart's truest intentions, enabling you to trust your own deepest wisdoms and move through life with an open heart, deep understanding of and compassion for others.
7: Body of Light Meditation.
Learn to rotate your awareness around your body, to bring attention to each part of your body at a time, to observe what sensations are arising there and to infuse that area with healing vibration.
You will be asked to practice these techniques as much as you can during the week in between each session.
Each session will begin with the introduction to the technique, then a meditation practice. There will be chance to give feedback on your week's meditation exploration and ask questions that might have come up. This is an interactive journey so we will find connection and create community too.
The sessions will be recorded and so you can catch up if you have missed any sessions.
Sessions will be from 7pm to 8pm each Wednesday from 6th Jan to 17th Feb.
