About the Event
During this course you will learn how to use myofascial release techniques to create space in your yoga practice for added release from the tension system of the myofascia.
We will look at anatomy and the muscle groups in the chains or trains of muscles joined together, and look at easy ways to use tennis or myofascial balls, rolled up yoga mats or foam rollers and yoga blocks to ease some of the tension in the system.
The world of fascia research is fascinating and is currently opening up leading us to some amazing insights. We will look briefly at the role of fascia in movement, trauma, memory, communication and nervous system response.
However this course will be mostly pracitcal guidance, looking at easy ways to translate the heady fascia research into a body based understanding of the effects of myofascia release and the way you can easily incorporate it into your yoga practice without over complicating it.
Course is 20 hours:
This course takes place over 2 days online Saturday and Sunday 9am-12pm and 2-5:30pm. Online
Plus there are 5 full yoga and myofascial release videos included to practice following the course.
